Who we are
NAUA STEM Academy is a STEM education organisation based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our website is nauastemacademy.com. You can reach us at nauastemacademy@gmail.com.
What we collect
Contact form. If you send us a message we collect the name, email address, subject and message you type in. We use it to answer you and for nothing else.
Resource downloads. Some resources ask for an email address before you download them. We use that address to send you the file and to let you know when related material is published. Every message we send includes a way to stop receiving them.
Advisor and volunteer enquiries. If you offer to volunteer, we keep what you tell us about your field and experience so we can match you with students.
Server logs. Our host records standard technical information for every visit, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is normal web server activity and is used for security and troubleshooting.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run advertising or behavioural tracking on this site, and we do not use analytics cookies.
We do not ask for or store payment information. We are not currently accepting donations.
Third parties that see data
Our website is hosted by Hostinger, which operates the servers and processes the logs described above.
Pages on this site load fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those font files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Our events calendar is powered by The Events Calendar plugin and runs on our own site.
How long we keep things
Contact messages and volunteer enquiries are kept as long as they are useful for the conversation and our records. Email addresses given for downloads are kept until you ask us to remove them. Server logs are retained according to our host’s standard retention.
Children
Our resources are open to students of any age, including those in high school. Advisor appointments are limited to people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email nauastemacademy@gmail.com and we will action it. You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email.
Changes
If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
